The Delhi High Court on Tuesday declined the request of the Delhi Waqf Board to allow 50 people to enter the Nizamuddin Markaz to offer prayers on the first day of Ramzan which begins Wednesday (April 14).
The Supreme Court on Tuesday reiterated that Courts would not thwart any investigation into the cognizable offences, while it quashed and set aside an interim order of Bombay High Court.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday reserved its order on the petition filed by social media giants Facebook and WhatsApp challenging the Competition Commission of India (CCI) order directing investigation against the two over the new privacy policy of the messaging application.
The petitioners followed the order of the Karnataka High Court, directing them to approach the NGT in a plea challenging Section 40 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.
In a reply to a question asked by Justice Sangwan whether she has ever visited the United Kingdom, the woman replied negative stating that she has sent messages to Prince Harry as well as Prince Charles over social media.
"The presence of alcohol in excess of 30 mg per 100 ml. of blood is not an indispensable requirement to enable an Insurer to successfully invoke the clause. What is required to be proved is driving by a person under the influence of the alcohol", the Court said.
