Senior Congress leader Karan Singh has in a statement expressed deep regret and dismay over the stand taken by Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on the territorial dispute between India and Nepal. He says that Prime Minister Oli has moved the country into an irreversible, confrontational posture vis-a-vis India despite its profound social, cultural, religious, economic and political ties with that country.
Singh also blamed the Indian government for allowing the situation to deteriorate to such an extent.
Singh has been closely associated, both personally and politically, with Nepal for over several decades.
