In a June 2018 shootout case at Jamia Nagar, the Principal Magistrate of Juvenile board, Delhi vide order dated 01.07.2020 has granted bail to the accused in an attempt to murder case. The Principal Magistrate in its order had directed while granting bail that his custody is handed over to his parents/guardian who shall be responsible for his upbringing/care and protection.
The accused had been into headlines three months after that incident i.e. in September 2018 when the police again named him as an assailant and named him in the killing of a BSP leader in the case popularly known as the “Batla house 2018 murder case” in September 2018.
The police had named him along with other accused persons in both the Shootout cases and he was in custody since then in the shootout cases.
The session court, Saket had on 29.06.2020 ruled that since he was a juvenile when he was named by the police in the June 2018 incident, so his case shall be tried by Juvenile Board itself.
Advocate Harpreet Singh Hora argued for the accused and the Principal Magistrate of the Juvenile Justice Board granted bail to the accused in the case today.
