New Delhi: An FIR has been lodged against actor Rhea Chakraborty with Patna Police, in connection with the suicide of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput. According to information reaching here, it has been lodged by Rajput’s father, Sanjay Singh, who is Inspector General, Patna Central Zone. The FIR alleges abetment to suicide against Rhea, who was the deceased star’s girlfriend. Other sections, too, have been added to the FIR.
Rajput committed suicide in his Mumbai flat a month ago.
Rajput’s family, in Patna, has accused Rhea of cheating him financially and of mental harassment.
The FIR also names six others, including Rhea’s family members. Based on this FIR, a four-member team of Patna Police has already left for Mumbai for its preliminary investigation.

Mumbai Police is already handling the investigation and has interrogated several Bollywood stars.
Meanwhile, Rhea has moved the Supreme Court, seeking transfer of the investigation to Mumbai where investigations are pending. She has filed a petition in the top court through her lawyer Satish Maneshinde.
The posse of Bihar Police reached Mumbai, but ran into jurisdictional issues.
Rhea has filed the petition on the following basis:
1. Where same cause of action / investigation, but two jurisdictions are involved.
2. Investigations are already pending in one jurisdiction of Maharashtra.
3. She’s willing to cooperate in state of Maharashtra probe.
