Kerala govt prepares to move Supreme Court against Farm Bills

New Delhi : The Kerala Government is preparing to move the Supreme Court against the Farm Bills that the Union government had pushed through Parliament on September 17 amid chaos. The move to the court is expected quickly.

As per information received here, the Agriculture Minister of the state, V.S. Sunil Kumar, has already started consultations with the state government’s Law Department.

For proper preparation, the state government is also doing a hurried impact study, so that the documents may be placed before the Supreme Court.

The farm bills, which will allow big corporations a separate channel to the farmers, have been opposed by Opposition parties and farmers alike.
