New Delhi (ILNS): While UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath deciding that multiplexes will open from today, the CM also announced yesterday that licence fees of multiplexes / picture halls will be exempt for the period starting April 1, 2020, till September 30, 2020.
The government, however, has laid down conditions of maintaining Covid protocols.
This was a major relief for the entertainment industry in the state, reeling under the effects of the pandemic.
As per official sources, the multiplexes and picture halls were closed during this period owing to the lockdown. The exemptions were announced under the provisions of section 10 of the UP Cinema (Regulations) Act 1955.
