Delhi HC issues notice on plea alleging discrepancy in NEET OMR sheets

The Delhi High Court on Monday issued notice in a plea filed by 14 NEET aspirants alleging discrepancy and manipulation in the NEET examination OMR sheets.

A single-judge bench of Justice Jayant Nath, hearing the petition through video conferencing, sought responses from the National Testing Agency. The petition has been filed by 14 NEET aspirants through Advocate Charu Mathur alleging that there have been discrepancies in the NEET Examination OMR Sheets.

Earlier,  the Supreme Court bench headed by Justice L. Nageswara Rao had asked the petitioner students to approach the High Court in case the discrepancies persist. A total of 19 NEET students had approached the Apex Court challenging an NTA circular that  mandated an amount of Rs 1,000 to be charged per question for reassessment.

Whereas, Justice Nath allowed 14 NEET aspirants to physically inspect their OMR sheets at the NTA office. According to the petitioners, the OMR sheets were uploaded on the website, whereas, it didn’t match answers given by the students.
