A sexual harassment complaint has been filed in Delhi’s Naraina police station against so-called spiritual guru Parveen Kumar Suneja of Amritsar.
The complaint has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, i.e. Section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (Sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 354B (Assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe), 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust), 498A (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
The spiritual guru is said to have allegedly threatened the complainant and her family members of dire consequences if she filed a police complaint or raised the matter in public, given his stature and status in the society.

The complainant has said that there are many women who have similar complaints against Suneja but aren’t willing to come out fearing him.
