ILNS: After shortage of hospital beds, life-saving drugs and oxygen, comes the shortage of another life-saver: Water. Delhi seems to be on the brink of another disaster, as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has just told the Supreme Court that it is facing a critical shortage of water supply from Haryana and Punjab.
The DJB said that if water supply situation does not improve, it may have to restrict supply of water to hospitals in Delhi, which are at present overwhelmed by massive number of COVID-19 cases.
The top court bench headed by Chief Justice N V Ramana, has agreed to hear the matter on Thursday.
