Delhi Court allows 12 seized oxygen Concentrators to be used for Police officers, Judicial Officers and their family members in need

Delhi District Court has directed the Delhi Government to release 12 oxygen Concentrators seized for immediate medication of police officers, Judicial officers and their family members.

Metropolitan Magistrate of South Dwarka Court, Mr. Anuj Bahal said, “Judicial officers, due to their nature of work are also exposed to deadly coronavirus.”

The application has been filed by an Investigating Officer for release of oxygen Concentrators seized from two accused Vinay Agarwal and Akash Vashist deposited in Police Station Dwarka Malkhana. 

The application stated that many police personnel are suffering from Covid-19 and therefore, these oxygen Concentrators can be used for saving life of the police personnel. 

Whereas, the Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the oxygen Concentrators may be released in best interest. 

The court directed the release of oxygen Concentrators in the following manner:

(A) 2 oxygen Concentrators be released to DCP, Dwarka for the use of Police Personnel infected from Covid-19.

(B) 3 oxygen Concentrators be released to the office of Principal District and Session Judge (HQ) Tiz Hazari, Delhi.

(C) 2 oxygen Concentrators be released to the office of Principal District and Session Judge, Dwarka.

(D) 3 oxygen Concentrators be released to the office of Principal District and Session Judge, Saket.

(E) 2 oxygen Concentrators be released to Covid Health Centre, at Delhi Judicial Academy, Dwarka.
