A Delhi court on Wednesday reserved its order on the bail plea of restaurateur Vineet Kalra, who is accused of hoarding and black marketing oxygen concentrators amid the Covid-19 outbreak in the city.
Saket Court Additional Sessions Judge Sandeep Garg said, “Kindly place the order by the Magistrate giving bail to accused in the Matrix Case. We will keep this matter for Order tomorrow at 10:00 am.”
Public Prosecutor (PP) Atul Shrivastava opposed Kalra’s bail plea. He said, “We have got the lab reports. Laboratory result shows that these machines (oxygen concentrator) are ineffective…that is why we need custodial interrogation. Sanson ke Saudagar, their anticipatory bail should be dismissed.”

Senior Advocate Vikas Pahwa and Advocate Vineet Malhotra appeared for Kalra. On May 7, 105 oxygen concentrators were recovered from Kalra’s two upmarket restaurants in Khan Market. On May 8, police transferred the case to the Crime Branch.
