PIL in Supreme Court seeks cancellation of FIR against those putting up anti-Modi posters

The petition further sought the release of all those persons, who were arrested by the Delhi Police, in connection with the anti-Modi posters.

A petition was filed in the Supreme Court, seeking cancellation of FIRs registered against those putting up posters opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Covid-19 vaccine.

Filed by Advocate Pradeep Kumar Yadav, the petition further sought the release of all those persons, who were arrested by the Delhi Police, in connection with the anti-Modi posters.

Yadav quoted an earlier ruling of the apex court, in which the Court had said that Freedom of Speech and Expression cannot be denied.

The petition also demanded assurance from Delhi Police that it will not take any action in future against those, raising questions over the vaccination drive of the country.
