Supreme Court e-committee puts out draft model rules for live-streaming out

The Supreme Court‘s e-Committee released the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings and has invited inputs, feedback and suggestions on the Rules from all the stakeholders in June. The said draft model rule is now made available in the e-committee website, according to e-committee newsletter for June 2021.

On June 14, 2021, Supreme Court Judge and Chairperson of e-Committee Dr Justice D.Y. Chandrachud inaugurated the Secure wi-fi project for the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, National Service and tracking of Electronic processes for District Judiciary and Implementation of CIS software with Land Records at High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur through virtual mode.

Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq inaugurated the e-Service Centre in the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court on June 9, 2021.

The facility of online payment of Court Fees for Patna High Court and District Courts were enabled on June 2, 2021. E-Pay Portal is directly integrated with the Online Receipts Portal of Bihar State Government and can be availed 24×7, anywhere, anytime through Net Banking and Debit/Credit Cards.

The High Court of Karnataka created and launched an official YouTube Channel to Live Stream all the programmes of the High Court and Court Proceedings in June. So far 14,304 members have subscribed to the official YouTube channel of the High Court.

Even during the prevailing pandemic period during June 2021, the fourth phase of the Advocate Master Trainers Program was conducted by the e-Committee in Bombay, Calcutta, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, and Punjab & Haryana (2nd Phase), in coordination with the State Judicial Academies of the respective States. The Program aimed to create digital awareness and digital empowerment for the advocates and their clerks throughout the country.

On June 19, 2021, a national workshop on the topic ICT- Growth of Indian Judiciary under E-Committee and its accomplishments during the pandemic was conducted for the law students at the Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University in association with the e-Committee, Supreme Court of India.
