Bombay High Court to hear Aryan Khan bail plea in cruise ship drug case

In its affidavit, the NCB says the present bail application is misconceived and ill-conceived and the same should not be entertained.

The Bombay High Court will hear the bail application of Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, in the Mumbai cruise ship drug case. Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi will appear for Aryan Khan before the bench of Justice Nitin W. Sambre. 

The Narcotics Control Bureau has also filed an affidavit opposing the bail application sought by the accused. In its affidavit, the NCB says the present bail application is misconceived and ill-conceived and the same should not be entertained. “Attempts are being made to tamper with the ongoing investigation with malafide attempts to derail the same and the quest of truth is obstructed,” says the NCB. 

Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi, former Attorney General for India, and team Karanjawala & Co., consisting of Senior Partners Ruby Singh Ahuja and Sandeep Kapur, will be representing Aryan Khan, and have flown to Mumbai to add to the team which already consists of Senior Advocate Amit Desai, Senior Advocate Satish Maneshinde, Advocate Anandini Fernandes along with Rustom Mulla, Partner, Desai Desai Carrimjee & Mulla.
