The petition filed on the JNU-Kanhaiya Kumar fiasco came up for hearing in front of the Supreme Court bench of Justices J Chelameswar and S Abdul Nazeer on May 4. Justice Chelameswar recused himself and directed it to be listed before some other appropriate bench.
The second petition was a contempt filed by Kamini Jaiswal against four lawyers for taking action disrespecting the orders of Supreme Court.
