The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Noida Authority CEO to convene meeting of all concerned agencies within 72 hours to finalise the schedule for the demolition of the 40-storied twin towers of Supertech Emerald Court and directed that demolition begin within two weeks.
Earlier, the Supreme Court has asked Supertech to refund the money with interest to all home-buyers who had booked flats in the twin tower project by February 28.
The Court said that where home loans are outstanding, the developer shall clear the home loans on or before 31 March and furnish NOCs from the concerned financial institutions to the home buyers not later than April 10.
On January 17, the top court had approved the proposition for the demolition agency finalised by the Noida Authority. A few days before that on January 12, the Apex Court pulled up the builder for not complying with its orders to demolish the 40-story twin towers in Noida Sector 93.
On August 31 last year, the top court had ordered the demolition of Supertech Ltd’s twi towers under construction within three months for violation of building norms.
