The Supreme Court told a petitioner on Monday that the issues related to skirmishes and invasions on border were the “acts of the State” and that the Apex Court had nothing to do with it.
These views were expressed by a Bench comprising Chief Justice U.U. Lalit and Justice S. Ravindra Bhat, while dismissing a PIL, which claimed that the Central government was lying about the losses suffered by the country at the border with China.
Filed by one Abhijeet Saraf, the PIL contended that the Centre had claimed that after the Galwan valley incident, there has been no Chinese invasion. However, the fact was incorrect, as the skirmishes have taken place after the said incident, added the plea.
