A Varanasi Court admitted a plea for registration of Case against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav for hurting the religious sentiments by their comments.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ujjawal Upadhyay admitted the plea.
The matter has been listed for hearing on November 29.
Advocate Hari Shankar Pandey moved this plea stating that , these leaders were trying to spoil the atmosphere of Varanasi by hurting religious sentiments by speaking on the Gyanvapi Mosque dispute.
The petitioner said that even when the Apex Court has not commented on the matter, these two have been trying to instigate the emotions of the people for vote politics.
The Court had posted the matter for orders on October 10. However the same was postponed to October 15, then to October 17.
On October 17, the ACJM 5th MP/MLA Court posted the matter on October 18 for orders.
