As the matter of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala came up for hearing before the Supreme Court bench of Chief Justice JS Khehar and
Justice DY Chandrachud on Monday (July 3) the report of amicus, senior advocate Gopal Subramanian, was presented.
Subramanian said that it was necessary that a full-time executive officer be appointed with the office of the temple, because the temple covers a huge area and an officer should stay full time to look after all the issues.
He also requested that there should be a financial controller appointed to look after the financial issues as well as a nodal officer directly responsible to the apex court to see that all the orders of this court are complied with by the temple authority.
Senior Advocate Krishnan Venugopal, appearing for the temple authorities, sought time to go through the report of the amicus and said he would respond by tomorrow (July 4).
The case is fixed for July 4.
