The Telangana High Court took Suo Moto Cognizance of the issue related to absence of functional toilets for girl students in schools of Telangana.
The petition has been registered suo moto the High Court on the basis of a news item published in an English language daily newspaper on 11.11.2022, highlighting the absence of functional toilets for girl students in schools in the State of Telangana.
The Division Bench of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice C.V. Bhaskar Reddy issued notice to the respondents.
Respondents are directed by the High Court to file counter-affidavit by the next date.
The Court posted the matter on 20.01.2023 for further hearing.
