The significant efforts of Dr MK Sharma resulted in the matter being decided before the Special Bench of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India today (08.02.2022).
In the matter, the counsels for the Union of India, the State of Sikkim as well as the counsels for the petitioners apologised for the inadvertent misrepresentation made by them during the course of the hearing.

The Supreme Court duly deleted the objectionable observations and directed the court registry to correct the relevant paragraphs of the judgment and upload the new judgment.
