As per the mandate of the ‘Scheme of National Court Management Systems for enhancing timely justice, the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud had reconstituted the National Court Management Systems Committee (NCMSC).
The Supreme Court judge Justice Dipankar Datta will be the new chairperson of the 16-member committee, which also includes judges of four High Courts.
The new committee has other other judge-members including
1.Justice Rajiv Shakdher of Delhi High Court;
2. Justice A Muhamed Mustaque of the Kerala High Court;
-3.Justice Joymala Bagchi of the Calcutta High Court;
4. Justice Arun Bhansali of the Rajasthan High Court.
The Chief Justice of India’s nominee is the Supreme Court lawyer K Parameshwar.
Expert members of the committee are the Director of the Welingkar Institute of Management, Uday Salunkhe, and National Informatics Centre Deputy Director General RS Mani.
The Supreme Court ,additional Registrar Vivek Saxena will serve as member secretary, while the registrars generals of the Gujarat, Orissa and Karnataka High Courts are also members.
The other members would include the director of the National Judicial Academy and an expert statistician who shall be appointed by the Chief Statistician of India.
The Supreme Court’s secretary general, and a joint secretary of the Department of Justice (who is also the Director of the National Mission for Justice Delivery & Legal Reforms) will be ex-officio members of the committee.
