Sitting Judge of the Jharkhand High Court, Justice Kailash Prasad Deo, passed away this morning. Justice Deo was ill for some time. He was admitted to Bhagwan Mahavir Medica Superspecialty Hospital, where he breathed his last at 5:20 am this morning.
The body has been shifted to Justice Deo’s residence at Nepal House in Doranda of Ranchi. Relatives and family members poured in to pay their tributes to the departed soul.
Justice Deo’s body would be taken to the premises of the Jharkhand High Court at 3:00 pm, from where it would be taken for cremation at 4:15 pm.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul, the High Court Registrar announced that the business of the High Court of Jharkhand and its Offices as well as Subordinate Courts of the State would remain closed on September 22.
Chief Justice of the High Court, Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, expressed his condolences over the death of Justice Deo.
