Delhi High Court has received an application by the five accused in the Parliament security breach case.
The accused in the case have alleged that they have been given electric shocks and were tortured to confess their association with opposition parties.
The application states that each of the accused ( Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Lalit Jha, Amol Shinde and Mahesh Kumawat),was forced to sign about 70 blank pages by the police.
The application mentions how the accused persons were tortured/given electric shocks to sign and confess the commission of crime under UAPA and their association with national political parties.
The application stated that two accused were forced to write on the paper about their association with the political party/leader of the opposition political party.
The matter has been listed by the Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur for February 17 after the Delhi Police Special Cell sought time to reply to the application.
The Delhi Police Special Cell, during the court hearing, also sought extension of the judicial custody of the accused for a month, stating that they wanted to prevent them from committing any further offence.
The police also cited evidence tampering fears.
