The Delhi High Court has come to the rescue of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding its party headquarters.
The party had its headquarters in Rouse Avenue, New Delhi. The allotment of the bungalow was done by the PWD on a GNCTD order of December 31, 2015.
On July 31, 2017, the office of the Lieutenant Governor ordered the cancellation of the allotment. The party had filed a writ under Article 226, challenging the order of the Lieutenant Governor.
On Wednesday (August 23), the single judge bench of Justice Vibhu Mathur directed the Lieutenant Governor to revisit and reconsider the order and reply within eight weeks.
