The Madras High Court disposed of a Petition filed seeking direction to the respondents to take appropriate action on petitioner’s representation/complaints in respect of illegal and unlawful collection of money in the name of Muslim Prisoners, using it for unlawful purposes, enticing, recruiting, training and exploiting the innocent juveniles for employing them in unlawful activities.
The petitioner seeks directions against the respondents to take appropriate action on the complaints dated 8.3.2022, 8.4.2022 and 11.4.2022 filed by the petitioner.
R.Prabakar , counsel for the petitioner submits that, in the said complaints, the petitioner alleged illegal and unlawful collection of money in the name of Muslim prisoners and using it for unlawful purposes by private respondents . However, no cognizance is taken by the respondent authorities. The petitioner was unlawfully arrayed as an accused in a case of murder. The petitioner has turned approver.
R.Muniyapparaj, Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the complaints of the petitioner have been inquired into, witnesses have been examined and a closure report has been filed.
In case a closure report is filed, it is for the petitioner to take appropriate steps as may be permissible under law ,the Division Bench of Chief Justice Sanjay V. Gangapurwala and Justice J. Sathya Narayana Prasad observed.
