The Delhi High Court on Thursday (January 4) reduced the death sentences of two convicts to life imprisonment in the 2009 Jigisha Ghosh murder case.

A division bench of Justice S Murlidhar and Justice I S Mehta said that the two convicts — Amit Shukla and Ravi Kapoor — would serve life imprisonment thereby modifying the trial court order which had handed out death sentences to both of them.

In 2016, the two were held guilty for the murder of IT executive Jigisha Ghosh by the trial court.
