Delhi HC issues notice to MP Udit Raj for distributing tokens to vendors

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday (January 10) issued notice to Lok Sabha MP of North West Delhi, Udit Raj for the distribution of tokens to unregistered vendors without any authority.

The bench comprising of the Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar also asked Delhi Police and North Municipal zone to file a report as what action they have taken on the incident.

The bench was hearing the petition which says Raj has distributed metal tokens to unauthorised vendors in his constituency which create the nuisance to public health and society as entire footpath, roads, residential streets and public places are badly affected due to the encroachment and also disturb the public convenience.
