The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday (January 22) directed the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of Vatika Apartments, Mayapuri road, New Delhi to give detailed account of heavily or lightly pruned trees along with chopping of trees if happened in Vatika Apartments.
The NGT bench comprising of Acting Chairperson Justice UD Salvi and Expert Member, Dr Nagin Nanda was acting on the plea which claims that 25 trees have been pruned or cut illegally in Vatika Apartments.
The bench also directed the petitioner to apprise it about the correct figures of trees which are being heavily, lightly pruned and cut off. The bench cautioned the petitioner that any mistake on his part will amount to heavy penalization.
