Alleged droppings from aeroplanes: Report fails to confirm it is human excreta

Gaurav Kumar Bansal has filed a complaint with the National Green Tribunal (NGT) regarding the presence of arsenic in drinking water withdrawn from bore wells.

On Monday (January 29) NGT’s Acting Chairperson Justice U D Salvi heard submissions by the counsel who said that small children in the village are drinking the contaminated water.

The respondents sought some time to file a reply and also to submit the analysis report of the water.

In the interim the bench directed Jal Nigam to supply fresh drinking water to the affected areas.

The next date of hearing has been set for March 14.
