Fugitive diamond merchant moves court: Delhi HC asks for details of seized properties of Nirav Modi

he Delhi High Court on Wednesday (March 7) started hearing a petition by fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi’s counsel against the seizure of movable properties of the companies of Nirav Modi by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Advocate Vijay Aggarwal, arguing for Nirav Modi, challenged the various sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and said that urgent intervention of the court was required in the matter.

The court issued notice to the ED and ordered that the complete sequence of facts be placed before it, including the value of properties.

The matter comes up again on March 19.
