The Delhi High Court bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal has directed the State of Haryana to supply 719 cusecs water through the Munak canal and 330 cusecs through the Delhi Carrier Line Channel (CLC). The Court has also told the Amicus to check the situation continuously and has also ordered Haryana to strictly follow the orders earlier passed by the court.

The counsel for Haryana submitted that the payment of approximately Rs 300 crore was pending by the Government of NCT of Delhi. The bench ordered that the money be released immediately through RTGS.

The bench also ordered chief executive engineer to release the tenders for repair of the CLC within one month.

The counsel for Haryana objected to the order, contending that the court had no jurisdiction, but Justice Mittal said: “Orders passed by this court means orders passed.”
