In the defamation suit filed by Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari against Congress leader Digvijay Singh, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal directed Singh to be present before the next date of hearing.

During today’s hearing, the counsel appearing for Singh said that all documents and submissions are already filled.

The next date of hearing is April 27.

In the defamation suit, Gadkari has accused Singh of attempting to divert the public attention from the CAG report on coal blocks allocation by alleging that a business partner of his earned a profit of Rs 490 crore from coalmines in Chhattisgarh.
