Delhi HC orders JNU not to take any coercive steps against Kanhaiya Kumar till next hearing

Giving a major relief to the migrants from the Jammu & Kashmir who have been employed on contractual basis in government and municipal schools in New Delhi since 1994, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday (May 23) regularized their service and directed the government to issue an order within eight weeks for the regularization.

The bench of Justices Ravindra Bhatt and Deepa Sharma further directed that the allowances and 7th pay commission recommendations shall be applied to them and the salaries be paid according to it.

“One fourth of the salaries shall be kept as provident fund. Government and municipal authorities shall ensure that the payments be disbursed to the pensioners. Regularisation shall be made effective within the stipulated time. And LPA by teachers are allowed,” the bench said.
