The Patiala House Court on Tuesday (June 5) issued summon to accused MP Shashi Tharoor in the Sunanda Pushkar murder case after Delhi Police assured the court that it had sufficient grounds to implicate Tharoor as an accused in the case.
Addl Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Samar Vishal summoned Tharoor on July 7.
During today’s hearing, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy filed an application requesting vigilance inquiry in the case. “For last one year there was no FIR filed in the case. Evidence has been tampered,” said Swamy.
To which CMM directed the Delhi Police to submit vigilance inquiry report before the court.
