As expected, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram has also now been listed as an accused in the chargesheet of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Aircel-Maxis case. His son Karthi was already within the scope of the charge-sheet.
Chidambaram and his son have been granted anticipatory bail till August 7 by CBI Special Judge OP Saini.
This addition has been done in the CBI’s supplementary chargesheet filed with Delhi’s Patiala House Court, according to reports.
Apart from Karthi, 18 others had been named in the original chargesheet. The court is expected to take cognizance of this on July 31.
