The Supreme Court on Tuesday (August 21) dismissed a petition seeking
de-sealing of a property in Sujan Singh Park wherein the owners made several structural changes overlooking the mandated layout plan and ran a kindergarten school.
During the course of hearing, the Monitoring Committee (which was constituted by the apex court to oversee illegal constructions in the Capital) opposed the petitioner’s contention that since it was a Kindergarten school, it should be de-sealed.
The bench comprising Justices Madan B Lokur, S Abdul Nazeer and Deepak Gupta rejected the contentions of petitioner and dismissed the plea.
