Delhi HC asks Traffic Police to file status report on pressure horns, modified silencers

The Delhi High Court on Monday (Jan 14) was informed that despite the ban on the use of pressure horns and modified silencers, the rule-breakers have not been brought to book by the Traffic Police.

The court taking note of it asked the Traffic Police dept to file a status report during the course of the day.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V Kameshwar Rao further asked another respondent to intimate whether pressure horns and modified silencers are permitted in two wheelers and what steps forthwith have been taken by them for the same.

“If no reply is filed by the respondent, the court will pass an appropriate order,” the bench said and adjourned the matter to Jan 24.

The court was hearing a plea seeking ban on the on the use of pressure horns and modified silencers.
