On the previous hearing, the bench of Justices S A Bobde and L Nageswara Rao had hinted that it may constitute a panel to formulate methods for flawless conduct of the online Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Combined Graduate Level (CGL) and Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta appearing for the Central government sought removing of stay on the declaration of results contending that the results were being eagerly awaited by lakhs of unemployed youths.

He had further told the bench that 2017 examination should not be cancelled as the cheating was only at the individual level and has been eradicated.

Earlier, the court had stayed the declaration of results of SSC examination-2017 in Aug 2018 saying the conduct of examination was “tainted”.
