A Delhi court on Tuesday allowed Congress MP Shashi Tharoor to travel to USA from May 5 to May 20.
Tharoor is facing charges for abetting suicide of his wife, Sunanda Pushkar. Delhi Police had earlier sought more time for framing of more charges against Tharoor.
On other hand, Tharoor’s counsel had told the court that there were many inaccuracies in documents rendered by the police in the matter.
Pushkar was found dead in a hotel room in South Delhi on Jan 17, 2014. It is suspected that Pushkar had committed suicide after knowing about Tharoor’s alleged affair with a Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar.
