In a major relief to thousands of candidates who appeared for 2017 SSC exams, the apex court on Thursday asked the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to declare 2017 result for recruitment in Central Govt jobs.
The court also constituted 7-member committee headed by retired SC judge GS Singhvi and comprising former Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani and IT expert Vijay Bhatkar to suggest measures to make conduct of entrance exams for jobs and admission in educational institutions foolproof.
On previous hearing, the court had sought status report from CBI regarding the probe into the SSC 2017 paper leak.
In its August 31, 2018 order, the Supreme Court had stayed the 2017 results after finding the examination tainted.
