The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed petitioner seeking CBI inquiry into the murder of Darwesh Singh Yadav, who was shot dead inside Agra court to approach Allahabad High Court.

Yadav who became the first woman chairperson of Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh was shot dead in a lawyer’s chamber at the Agra Civil Courts allegedly by her aide Manish Sharma. Sharma fired three bullets into Yadav’s head and chest and then shot himself in the head too.

Sharma later on was admitted to Medanta Hospital but succumbed to the injuries.

The family of Yadav had demanded CBI probe into the murder alleging that Sharma had misappropriated funds which reportedly triggered her murder.
