The Central Government has notified the appointment of six Additional Judges in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The names of the newly appointed Additional Judges, in their order of seniority is as below:
- Shri Ashok Kumar Verma
- Shri Sant Parkash
- Smt. Meenakshi I. Mehta
- Shri Karamjit Singh
- Shri Vivek Puri
- Smt. Archana Puri
The President of India has appointed them in exercise of powers conferred by Article 224(1) of the Constitution.
On an interesting note, Shri Vivek Puri and Smt Archana Puri are the judge couple who hit news in the last week of September on being elevated to the High Court together.
