Delhi HC raps AAP govt for failing to provide jobs relaxation to the kin of 1984 anti-Sikh riot victims

The Supreme Court on Friday took note of the report submitted to it in a sealed cover pertaining to 1984 anti-Sikh riots cases.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) under Justice (Retd) Shiv Narayan Dhingra which was formed to probe 186 cases closed by the CBI in 1984 anti-Sikh riots today submitted the report to court.

The court said that it will examine the report and ascertain whether this report will be shared with the petitioners or will be kept in the sealed cover.

ASG Pinky Anand appearing for the Centre sought disbandment of the SIT saying that Centre wanted to send one of the members of the SIT, Ashok Gullar to CBI.

The court listed the matter for next hearing after two weeks.
