The Delhi High Court on Friday issued notice to Delhi Police, Centre and Delhi government on a plea seeking FIRs and SIT investigation against opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Asaduddin Owaisi for allegedly making hate speeches.
The matter has now been listed for April 13.
The High Court also issued a notice on the plea moved by Ajay Gautam seeking an investigation into the identity of those who have instigated the violence and anti-CAA protests.
A bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and justices C Hari Shankara issued notices on other two petitions as well. One application was moved by advocate Sanjiv Kumar who has sought NIA investigation against activist Harsh Mander, RJ Sayema, actor and activist Swara Bhasker and others for their anti-CAA stand and allegedly provocative speeches against the government.
Another petition was filed by an organisation called Lawyers Voice seeking FIRs against members of Gandhi family, Owaisi brothers, Waris Pathan, Manish Sisodia, Amanatullah Khan and Mehmood Pracha for alleged hate speeches.
