Supreme Court Collegium Approves Elevation of 5 Judicial Officers as Karnataka HC Judges

The Supreme Court Collegium on Monday has approved the elevation of five judicial officers as Karnataka High Court Judges. 

The Five Judicial Officers are Shri Shivashankar Amarannavar, Smt. M. Ganeshaiah Uma, Shri Vedavyasachar Srishananda, Shri Hanchate Sanjeevkumar, and Shri Padmaraj Nemachandra Desai.

In a Series of Decision by the Supreme Court Collegium headed by the Chief Justice S. A. Bobde also approved the proposal for appointment of three Additional Judges of the Calcutta High Court, Justice Bibek Chaudhuri, Justice Subhasis Das Gupta, and Justice Surva Ghosh as Permanent Judges of the High Court. 

Apart from that, the Collegium also approved the proposal for elevation of Shri B. Vijyasen Reddy, Advocate as Judge of the Telangana High Court. 

The Collegium has also approved the elevation of three Advocates as Judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, Shri Boppudi Krishna Mohan, Shri K. Suresh Reddy, and Ms. K. Lalitha Kumari alias Lalitha. 

The Collegium of Supreme Court is headed by the Chief Justice S. A. Bobde along with Justice N. V. Ramana, Justice Arun Mishra, Justice R. F. Nariman and Justice R. Banumathi.
