The Delhi High Court Bar Association has written to Delhi High Court seeking directions to Delhi Police thereby allowing lawyers of NCR to move in and out of Delhi.
DHCBA, President, Mr. Mohit Mathu has written this letter addressing to Chief Justice stating that many Advocates regularly practicing not only in Delhi High Court but also in District Courts at Delhi residing outside Delhi border either are not having access to their files and records or do not have video conferencing facilities/ books and commentaries at their residences to effectively participate in hearings being held.
It has also been submitted through the letter that similarly placed personnel of the Delhi Police has also been granted such facility.
The letter has requested to permit Advocates residing in NCR Region Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad, etc. to freely move in and out of Delhi on the production of valid ID cards issued by any Court annexed Bar Association of Delhi/ the Bar Council with which they are enrolled.
Directions have also been sought for the Delhi Police to take up the matter with their counterparts in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
