Allahabad HC cautions district judges to restrain sending messages/good wishes to Chief Justice on his mobile number

The Registrar General of Allahabad High Court has issued a circular asking all the district judges of the subordinate courts in the state not to messages/good wishes/WhatsApp messages to Chief Justice of the High Court on his mobile number.

“Such act of the Judicial Officers creates problem and causing inconvenience to His Lordship. His Lordship has expressed great concern on the issue and has directed the undersigned to ensure that no messages/good wishes/whatsapp messages on any occasion, either today or in future, are sent on the mobile number of His Lordship,” the circular said.

The circular further added: “Therefore, I am accordingly directed to request you not to send any type of message/good wishes/whatsapp messages, either today or on any occasion in future, on the mobile number of His Lordship, except in any extreme exigency. You are further requested to impress upon all the Judicial Officers also, working under your jurisdiction, to adhere with the directions issued by Hon’ble the Chief Justice. Any lapse on the part of any Judicial Officer, shall be viewed seriously.”
