The family of a Deputy Commandant who has been missing after an accident has filed a petition in Uttarakhand High Court seeking investigation by CBI in the case.
petition was filed by Advocate Harpreet Singh Hora and Paritosh Dalakoti in the Nainital High Court, who stated in the Petition that the state Police and SIT formed have merely done an eyewash enquiry.
The Deputy commandant has not been traced till date and none of his belongings were recovered whereas his driver was rescued.
The petition states that the driver has changed his statement multiple times and till date, the real reason of the vehicle falling in the river is not known till date.

The Police report also mentions that the driver later on stated that he filed a false FIR.
The family has also expressed their suspicion about the role of his estranged wife in the case as the driver later retracted from his statement.
The family has alleged that the mysterious disappearance of such a Senior officer has not been investigated properly and thus, the High Court may order a CBI enquiry in the case.
