2 Vikas Dubey aides sent to judicial custody in Mumbai even as one SI seeks court protection

Two aides of slain Uttar Pradesh gangster Vikas Dubey were sent to judicial custody till July 21 by the Thane Magistrate Court.

Arvind, alias Guddan Ramvilas Trivedi, a close aide of the notorious criminal Dubey, and his driver Sushilkumar, alias Sonu Suresh Tiwari, were produced by the Maharashtra ATS in the Thane Court (Mumbai). The court then sent both of them to judicial custody till July 21.

An ATS official told that the UP Police are coming to Mumbai to take both of them to Kanpur. Both were involved in the killing of eight policemen on the night of July 2.

The ATS officer said that Gudden Trivedi and his driver fled from UP after Dubey and his gang killed eight policemen in Bikaru village near Kanpur on the night of July 2 and 3. They told that both first came to Madhya Pradesh and from there they hid in a truck and reached Pune. After this he hid in another truck and came to Thane.

The ATS official said that Juhu ATS received information about Trivedi alias Guddan. The Juhu ATS, led by senior officials, laid a trap at Coltshet Road, Thane and caught Arvind alias Guddan Trivedi and his driver.

SI asks for protection 

Meanwhile, UP Police sub-inspector Krishn Kumar Sharma, one of the police officers who had been arrested for allegedly tipping off Dubey about the police raid planned to arrest the gangster, has filed a plea in the Supreme Court seeking protection of life and liberty.

The Petition has been filed by Krishn Kumar Sharma through his wife Vinita Sirohi, alleging that after the incident of encounter of Vikas Dubey and his associates by the Uttar Pradesh Police, she is of the confirmed opinion and has full apprehension that her husband may be eliminated by adopting illegal and unconstitutional means.
